How does it work? IMPORTANT notice for ALL HandicapMaster® Handicap Solution Users If you are operating HandicapMaster® then Golf AutoScore™ scorecard readers will seamlessly integrate with your existing handicap solution allowing you to print and read individual Golf AutoScore™ scorecards direct from your existing HandicapMaster® handicap management software. Golf AutoScore™ is incredibly easy to use and can save you and most importantly the golfers who play your events a lot of time. Below is a summary of how the solution works in practice. Maintaining the golfer list The Golf AutoScore™ (Tournament Manager) Software requires you to maintain a master “golfer list”. If you are a golf club or society operating the system this will typically contain the names of all your members. For golf clubs or societies operating handicapping software you are able to import this information from a spreadsheet (e.g. Microsoft Excel). 2. Golf course / tee list If you are a golf club operating the system this will simply list all the tees on your golf course (e.g. white, yellow, red, etc...). If you are a golf society (or similar) it may well include the details of all the courses you hold competitions at. 3. Tournament details Every tournament you run needs to be setup first and linked to the appropriate course/tee. Tournaments can be run over multiple courses on single or over a range of dates. 4. Competition types within tournament Every tournament you setup will need to have one or more different competitions linked to it. These competitions can include popular formats like Medal, Stableford or more sophisticated formats like team events and Eclectics. 5. Competition Participants For each competition you will quickly be able to designate a list of participants that are chosen from your master golfer list. 6. Tournament Draw If required your Golf AutoScore™ (Tournament Manager) Software can be used to produce a tournament draw list of participants, this can include the participants tee time if required. 7. Printing Scorecards Scorecards are printed automatically prior to each tournament. Depending on your requirements each scorecard can be printed with the participant’s name, handicap, competition name and even their tee time. In addition you are also able to pre-print scorecards with sponsor details and there is even a detachable voucher which can used to promote offers in the clubhouse or proshop. 8. Scanning scorecards After playing their golf round each participant must hand his card to the tournament administrator who will scan their card with the Golf AutoScore™ scorecard reader. This process takes just a couple of seconds! 9. Leader board and results Competition results can be displayed on the Golf AutoScore™ leader board which can also be scheduled to display sponsor advertisements. NB. You may require a large screen to display this information. We can provide options if this is a requirement. 10. Exporting scores Operators of Golf AutoScore™ (Tournament Manager) Software may be interested to learn round information including player name, member ID, round date, competition name, competition format, course par and individual gross scores for each hole can be exported to a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet should you wish to transfer this information to a third part golf handicap or some other software application.
